AfficherThere are a lot of different activities to enjoy in Transcona. You can test your skills at AXE Throwing Winnipeg, or enjoy cutting edge VR at Arena VR. Are you a foodie? A number of excellent restaurants have opened up in the area recently, like GaiJin Izakaya and Nuburger. And Club Regent Casino, housing one of Winnipeg’s largest aquariums, can be found in Transcona.
Do you love the outdoors? If you do, you’ll love Transcona. The Transcona Bioreserve is one of Winnipeg’s best kept secrets. And you can walk through the whole neighbourhood using the Transcona Trail. Check out some of the many parks in the area (like Kilcona Park), the Transcona Golf Club, and some of the many other outdoor amenities the neighbourhood has to offer.
And there are plenty of locally owned businesses in the area. We highly recommend checking out the Transcona BIZ Community Market in the summer to support some of the incredible vendors from the neighbourhood. Love history? Check out the Transcona Museum! There’s no end of things to do in Transcona.
Transcona’s main thoroughfare is Regent, which connects it to Lagimodiere. The area is well served by a number of bus routes, including the 43 and the 47, which make it easy to reach Winnipeg’s Downtown. Near Kildonan Place, Transcona is served by a large number of different bus routes that give access points to the rest of the city, including Polo Park and the North End.
One of the central hubs of activity in Transcona is Kildonan Place. It’s one of Winnipeg’s biggest malls, which means every box store you need is located in the mall or nearby. That makes Transcona an incredibly convenient place to live – you won’t have to go very far at all to do your shopping.
And you can find everything you need within the neighbourhood. Doctors, dentists, pharmacies, grocery stores, spas, restaurants, convenience stores – the area used to be its own city, after all, so it’s got a lot of amenities.
For families with kids, there are a lot of schools in the area, including a number of French Immersion schools, and several playgrounds and recreational spaces. Transcona is an excellent place to raise a family.
